What happened?
A plan was hatched to travel the entire of Hokkaido in the Summer of 2014. A car is to be rented from Hakodate, and a driving route was established to traverse the whole of hokkaido in 14 days. In order to cut costs of accommodation, as well as to enjoy the natural beauty of this well-loved Island, we decided to do some drastic shift in mindset with regards to accommodations...
What did I do?
Based on the numerous websites dedicated to camping in Japan, especially in Hokkaido, we decided to plot a rough driving route and circuit, and wing the overnight stay as we travel each day.

The cows came home.
